Mary Wollstonecraft A VINDICATION OF THE RIGHTS OF WOMAN (1792) was a writer and passionate advocate of educational and social equality for women her most important work on women's place in society is: she went to Paris to observe the French Revolution when she returned to London, she became part of an influential radical group she had a relationship with William Godwin one of the first and most important works of feminism this work attacked the educational system of the period which kept women in a state of "ignorance and slavish dependence" M. Wollstonecraft argued that an educational system which offered girls the same advantages as boys this work was unique "A Vindication of the Rights of Woman" this book failed to achieve any immediate reforms where she met Imlay (american) and gave birth to a daughter, Fanny which included the philosopher William Godwin, and William Wordsworth she gave birth to Mary Shelley because she thought that women would be not only wives and mothers but they were also capable workers in many professions she never wanted women to have power over men, but that women should have power on themselves but caused controversies and the author was violently attacked by politicians and writers of that time was forgotten for almost a century Presented with xmind -> in which she argued for the equal educational opportunities for women after broke down of her relationship with Imlay, she attempted suicide was rediscovered and reevaluated by Virginia Woolf in "A...
