Present Perfect Continuous: Come Si Forma e Quando Si Usa
Formare il Present Perfect Continuous è più semplice di quanto sembri! La formula è: soggetto + has/have + been + verbo con -ing. Per esempio: "I have been living in London for two years" (Vivo a Londra da due anni).
Per le frasi negative aggiungi semplicemente "not": "I haven't been living in London for two years". Per le domande metti has/have all'inizio: "Have you been living in London for two years?"
Questo tempo verbale è perfetto per azioni iniziate nel passato che continuano nel presente. Se tua madre sta ancora cucinando, dici "My mother has been cooking a lovely meal". L'azione è iniziata prima e continua adesso!
Trucco importante: Usa FOR per indicare un periodo di tempo (for three hours) e SINCE per un momento preciso (since five o'clock). Questo ti aiuterà a costruire frasi perfette!
Le domande con "How long?" richiedono sempre il Present Perfect Continuous. "How long have you been waiting here?" è la forma corretta per chiedere da quanto tempo qualcuno sta aspettando.
